i think i quit around 2017 cause they introduced an ip block but by then i speedrunned every map and finally ended up being a top player comparable to those i looked up to back in 2010. i met alot of people who spoke many different languages and even learned alot from speaking to them. i eventually moved on to the korean server when NA shut down and played for years. i'd always look up to the korean players who could do 30+ dash jumps meanwhile middle shcool me could hardly do 10. It was very challenging back then and there was mechanic called dash jumping which was the games skill gap. This was back before every Korean MMO adopted the p2w bs. relay races, farm system, marriage and adoption system. it was very social similar to kart rider. It was a racing game but there's no cars or anything it's all on feet which was interesting to me especially since it's "anime" inspired. I've played since 2010 and pretty much grew up with the game. I'm sure alot of people don't even know what this game is but it's an all time favorite of mine. The official game has stopped running for quite a long time but there is a very active private server community over at Įvery few years i log into a private server just to get that nostalgia trip. Whenever a boss mob would drop a rare wizard weapon for example it would be so valuable as it had a very low drop rate from a boss who respawns infrequently. Every boss had a respawn timer which ranged from 2-4hrs so you would have guilds fighting and pking just to secure a spot to attempt the bosses.
There were no instances in game so you would be leveling on the same maps as everyone else in your level range. What i loved about the game were the boss hunts with the guild. Mir 2 was a "diablo 2 style" mmorpg which started in europe back in 2001 (chinese and koreans had it before us) and it was a proper grindfest. Every single mmo i come across i always compare to Mir but nothing hits the spot like that game. My favourite mmo of all time is The Legend Of Mir 2.
